Project Manager/Estimator
The Sr. Estimator/Sr. Project Manager plays a pivotal role in our Civil Public Works Division, overseeing preconstruction Estimating and Project Management. As the Estimator, they are responsible for accurately preparing estimates for bidding on various jobs, supervising take offs, and coordinating with other estimators and engineers. With a deep understanding of construction means, methods, costs, and engineering principles, they ensure meticulous project evaluation. Once a project is awarded, the Estimator transitions seamlessly into the role of Project Manager, leading the project through its lifecycle until near completion, at which point they resume estimating duties. This dynamic and multifaceted position promises a rewarding opportunity to contribute expertise and leadership to drive the success of our projects.
As a crucial asset to project execution, the Project Superintendent collaborates closely with the Project Manager, providing invaluable support in overseeing multiple small projects or one medium to large-size project. Their responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum of activities, including managing seamless job transitions, meticulous bid quantity tracking, and assisting in the efficient management of cost, schedule, constructability, quality, safety, work planning, procurement, contract administration, and regulatory compliance. Their unwavering dedication and expertise ensure the successful implementation of projects, driving excellence and achievement throughout the organization.

Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
Determine labor and equipment costs
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
Discuss and propose the most proper means and method
Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks
Understand project logistics and project schedule
Prepare bid packages
Meet with Owners Pre-Award as Required
Manage Project After Successful Award
Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids
Review quotes and estimates with the Project Management Team
Perform pre-construction duties and meetings with clients, owners, suppliers
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Sufficient Experience
Previous experience in Heavy Civil Public Works, Underground, Earthworks Industry
Experience on Contract Side
10+ years’ experience estimating heavy civil projects
Excellent proposal development, change order development skills/knowledge
Advanced computers skills
Extensive Knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
Familiarity of all aspects of horizontal and infrastructure projects
Well organized, flexible, detail oriented, and multi-tasked
Prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines while constantly changing tasks and demands
Ability to work with engineers and estimators and be part of a team
